Animals die, and when they do, they can cause a big stink! The most common dead animals we deal with are mice and rats. True, a big animal usually causes a bigger stink, but with poisons becoming the popular choice for rodent control, those animals ingest the poison and go off somewhere and die, and very rarely are they easy to get to. This is one of the reasons I don't use any type of poison. Removing a dead animal can be a very tough job, it requires someone with an excellent sense of smell and the ability to pinpoint that smell, all while being able to stomach the stench as it gets worse with the hands on cleanup.
We don't just deal with dead rodents though, we deal with all kinds of
dead creatures. After the offending animal has been removed, we make
sure to clean up the area by removing any maggots and disinfecting the
area with a plant based biodegradable cleaner. After that, the smell
doesn't have much of a chance to stay around long, and begins clearing
up soon afterward. The final step is to find out where and how the
animal got in, and fix it so that you won't have any other unexpected
visitors in your home.
